Anything Goes - Weeks #776-777

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone. Thanks so much for being here to join our challenge, to hopefully get some encouragement from our brief devotional, to get some inspiration, and to play along/link up for another chance to win a prize from our awesome sponsor. It's always a real treat to see all your amazing art linked up in our gallery, and we appreciate every single entry we receive. You're all SO talented. We are SO blessed, also, by all the amazing sponsors God has provided for our challenges, and I am very blessed and excited to announce that our 2027 Sponsor Calendar is now full. Praise God! We will be sticking around for at least another year. So, let the fun continue!

Our word art was created using the Bible verse Psalm 16:11 which says, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore". This lovely and encouraging verse couldn't be any clearer or more straight-forward. God is literally telling us that He WILL show us the correct "path of life" that He's planned for us when we submit our lives completely to Him. It also tells us that when we do fully emerse our lives in Him and remain in His constant daily presence; we will experience "fullness of joy". Many people think they know what joy feels like, but when God promises us "fullness of joy"; this is something even more wonderful, peaceful and comforting than most people have ever experienced. It's a level of peace that's been offered, and is waiting before each of us, and to know it and experience it; all we have to do is "stay in His presence and remain at His right hand". This verse also reminds us that when we truly live our lives "at God's right hand" (in His constant presence and continually seeking/following His will/His plan for us), there are pleasures forevermore. This is yet another clear promise of eternal life and a reassurance that Heaven is a very real place where we will have the joy and privilege of spending forevermore in the presence of our Holy, Righteous, AMAZING God. What a wonderful promise from the Word of God. This verse promises us "fullness of joy" and "pleasures forevermore". That definitely beats "eternal punishment" (Matthew 25:46), "a lake of sulfur..tormented day and night forever" (Revelation 20:10), or "a fiery furnace...with weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 13:49-50). There are only two choices after our lives on Earth. There's a literal Heaven with God forever, or a literal Hell without God forever. The choice is completely ours to make. The Good News about God, the LORD, Jesus Christ, is that He fully paid the price for our sin debt by dying on the cross as our perfect sacrifice and rising again after three days, then going to prepare Heaven for those who place their faith in Him. It's really that simple, and you CAN KNOW FOR SURE THAT YOU'RE GOING TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE. Joshua 24:15 ".......Choose ye this day whom you will serve;....as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD".

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges. We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries for each two-week challenge. Any entries over that limit will be deleted and will make you ineligible to win. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules found under our Page tab marked "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're not. We are simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Please let us know if you have any questions about anything; and thank you for your understanding and participation.

Anything Goes - #774-#775

It's time for another fun challenge here at Word Art Wednesday. Can you believe that it's already October? Christmas is like 70 some days away and I'm not ready. How about you? Well, maybe you can get some inspiration to here to get working on some of those Christmas cards. We sure enjoy seeing all your wonderful entries, and we wish everyone the best of luck in the random draw for our fabulous prize from the awesome sponsor for this challenge.

The word art scripture for this challenge comes from Ephesians 6:10 in the Holy Bible. What a treat God's Word is to us. This verse says, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the LORD, and in the power of His might". It's reminding us to lean on God and to utilize the strength He alone offers us. We're told elsewhere in God's Word that "His strength is made perfect in our weakness" and in Psalm 46:1 it says that "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble". God also tells us in Isaiah 41:10 "I will strengthen you and help you, I will hold you with my righteous right hand". As humans, we're going to experience weakness at times physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, etc. But the good news here is that God knows we're weak. He knows this because He created us. He wants us to lean on Him because He created us to lean on Him for all we need. God reminds us over and over again that He wants to be our strength when we're weak or troubled. The problem is that, far too often, we forget to lean on Him OR...we refuse to lean on Him. Next time you're feeling weak - either mentally, emotionally, physical or whatever...remember to CALL ON HIM and to LEAN ON HIM. When we ASK God to give us strength, He WILL surely give us His perfect strength in every situation. Don't lean on your own power all the time. You'll continue to fail. By allowing God to make us strong, we're able to accomplish all He's called us to do and to attain all He wants to bless us with. Lean on Him, let Him in, and experience the true "power of His might" and the #blessedlife that comes only from allowing Him to be our strength, our hope, our everything.

Anything Goes - Weeks #772-773

Welcome, everyone. We hope you all know that there wouldn't be a challenge blog here without YOU and your willingness to share your art with us. It always makes us happy and grateful to see your amazing art linked up in our gallery. Even if we don't get by to comment on all your entries, please know that we're doing our best. And if we happen to miss yours, it certainly doesn't mean that we don't absolutely appreciate you. Like I said, we couldn't do this without each one of you. YOU are important to us, and we praise God for you and the art/talent you share with us here. You're all WINNERS in our book.

Our scripture word art for this challenge comes from Romans 4:7 which says, "Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered". What this verse is telling us is that we will be "blessed" which is defined as a declaration of divine favor and happiness. Being blessed is not something we earn. Being blessed is a divine appointment from God. The verse goes on to say that "blessed" are those whose iniquities (sins) are forgiven. There is only ONE WAY to be forgiven of our sins. It's not by attending confession at a church or by confessing your sins to a priest. NO man has the authority to absolve anyone of their sins. ONLY God is perfect (blameless and without sin) and only He can give forgiveness of our sins. After all, He's the only one whose forgiveness we need. People will judge, find fault and make assumptions. When God forgives us, it is covered by His blood and He remembers it no more. This is what the last part of the verse ("and whose sins are covered") is referring to here. Not only will God forgive us of our iniquities (sins), but He alone can "cover our sins". He did this by shedding His holy sinless blood on the cross of Calvary, dying in our sinful place, paying the price for our sins, rising again and subsequently bridging the gap between a holy God in Heaven and the pit of fiery Hell we all deserve for our sins. He/Jesus paid the price. He suffered, died, rose again and went to prepare a place for us. ONLY God could do that. How wonderful to know that I don't need to carry around the weight of my sins. I confess them directly to God, I admit my sinful condition and ask Him to forgive me. Praise God! I'm forgiven and God doesn't keep account of my wrongs. He wants to forgive you, too. We're all sinful. However, we don't have to live in that sin and guilt. Today is a great to tell God that you're a sinner, that you're calling on Him to save your soul, forgive you of your sins, and to help you live each day of the rest of your life for Him and for His glory. Life is difficult, but God is AMAZING. Don't do life alone, and don't leave your eternity up to chance. "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved". Praise God for His love, His forgiveness and for His gift of eternal life.
